Attention, local landholders! Little River Landcare Group and Watershed Landcare are excited to present a special offer designed to unlock the potential of your land. Discover the incredible benefits of soil testing and how prioritizing soil health can drive landscape resilience and boost farm productivity. This focused initiative aims to support you in optimizing your land for a fertile future. This project is made possible by the National Landcare Program Smart Farms Small Grants

A healthy soil ecosystem supports the growth of crops and pastures by providing essential nutrients, improving water retention, and enhancing nutrient uptake. It also promotes beneficial microbial activity and biodiversity, which contribute to soil fertility and resilience. By prioritising soil health, farmers can boost their land’s productivity while reducing reliance on synthetic inputs and minimizing environmental impacts. Healthy soil acts as a natural buffer against droughts, floods, and other weather extremes, ensuring a more stable and resilient agricultural system. Investing in soil health is key to long-term sustainable productivity and a thriving farming future.

Through our partnership with Watershed Landcare, we are thrilled to offer local landholders a unique opportunity to enhance their understanding of soil health through testing. Our project includes a range of fantastic benefits which will upskill you to build soil on your farm.

On offer is a generous 50% discount on Nutrient Advantage Laboratory costs. This significant reduction makes soil testing more accessible and affordable, allowing you to gain valuable insights into your soil’s health and composition.

As part of the project you will receive comprehensive topsoil and subsoil sample analysis This comprehensive analysis offers a holistic understanding of your soil profile, enabling you to make informed decisions about land management practices. Additionally, Little River will provide on-farm soil sampling support to ensure you can get the most out of your results and learn from others.

As a bonus if you will get to take part in the engaging soil pit workshops. These workshops are designed to expand your knowledge and understanding of soil health. They’re a great chance to meet other participants and compare results. Through hands-on experiences and expert guidance, you will learn how to interpret soil test results and apply them practically on your land. This invaluable knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions and optimize your land management strategies.

Don’t miss this remarkable opportunity to unlock the full potential of your land. Join us in prioritising soil health and driving landscape resilience. There are only a few spaces left for this program so get in quick. EOI close 22nd May.
