Mudgee Microscope Group
The Mudgee Microscope Group (MMG) is a group of locals united by their curiosity and interest in soil health and ‘taking a closer look’ at the biological and botanical world.
Don’t let the microscope deter you! Far from ‘hardcore’ scientists, our basic goal is to learn practical skills, share knowledge and find ways to increase the health and diversity within our soil and greater landscape.
So much stems from the soil! The focus topics are wide-ranging and member-driven. Some of our previous topics have been: seed collection, native grass identification, farm walks, reptiles and frogs, soil carbon sequestration and more. We often have guest speakers or have hands-on workshops at interesting locations.
