The Mudgee Bee Group is a Watershed Landcare special interest group that provides training, peer support and mentoring to aspiring beekeepers.
It is a partnership between Watershed Landcare and Amateur Beekeepers Australia (ABA), who together support Mudgee Bee Group members in such ways as administration, funding, insurance and technical information.
The group manages three community hives to help us learn through doing and demonstrating different hive management techniques and tools. During the spring/summer periods, we carry out hive inspections, extract honey and hold hive maintenance sessions. Wintertime is quieter, and we take the opportunity to share skills and our knowledge indoors.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Membership of the Mudgee Bee Group is $70 per year, due 1 July each year.
The fee incorporates membership to Watershed Landcare and Amateur Beekeepers Australia (ABA).
Membership is managed through the ABA membership portal.
