Conversations for Change 2025!

Conversations for Change is making a triumphant return to the region after an incredibly inspiring debut in early 2023. This unique event series features a series of workshops and a Forum event that’s more than just a gathering—it’s a movement that’s reshaping the future of farming, Landcare, and community connection. The series promises to inspire and empower participants with groundbreaking ideas and practical tools for change.

Regenerative Agriculture takes centre stage for Conversations for Change. Unlike conventional or sustainable practices, regenerative agriculture focuses on healing degraded ecosystems, building soil health, and fostering a deeper connection to Country. It’s about creating thriving landscapes and resilient communities, aligning perfectly with Watershed Landcare’s vision of “Healthy Landscapes, Healthy Communities.”

This year’s event series features a stellar lineup of thought leaders and local legends, including Bruce Pascoe, the renowned author and advocate for Indigenous knowledge systems; Judi Earl, an expert in holistic grazing and sustainable land management; and Richard Daugherty, a visionary in practical regenerative farming techniques. More local heroes, engaging stallholders, and hands-on workshops will be announced soon, adding even more depth to this dynamic event. Landholders, farmers & environmental enthusiasts are encouraged to come along and join in on the conversation.

The event is structured like a vibrant festival for the regenerative community. Participants will have the chance to share ideas, gain practical insights, and celebrate the undeniable benefits of regenerative methods. With sessions on topics ranging from soil health, grazing management, diversifying farm incomes and more, there’s something for everyone to learn and love. The forum style format allows you to ask questions and add your ideas to the mix, forming a community of practice towards better land stewardship.

The workshop series kicked off in October 2024, with a session on Landscape Rehydration presented by the Mulloon Institute. On November 30, Rebel Black explored Syntropic Agroforestry with a wonderful group of locals. Coming up is an Introduction to Biodynamics with Kesh Mudaly on February 15, 2025. The Conversations for Change Forum on April 5, 2025 is the grand finale. Additional events will be announced in the coming months, promising a packed calendar of transformative experiences.
