Soil Life: an introduction to soil biology for landholders.

Soil Life workshops enable you to:
- Identify and monitor soil organism s;
- Encourage beneficial soil organism s through farm ing practices;
- Build Soil Organic Carbon to promote beneficial activities of soil organisms.
Includes practical activities:
- See the soil“beasties” in a sample of your soil,including under microscopes;
- Learning on-farm techniques to measure their activities in soil;
- Discussion on topics such as the effects of some herbicides and pesticides on soil organism ;
- Finding resources to increase soil carbon and activities of soil organisms.
*** Please bring with you about1 kg top soil sample(0-10cm) from your farm for testing. ***
